Lianne Bridges

Lianne Bridges is an advocate for social change, entrepreneur, writer, speaker, teacher, consultant, world citizen and mother. She holds an MBA and a Bachelors degree in Economics. She has spent the last 25 years working and consulting for companies that span both the private and not-for-profits sectors.

Lianne co-founded Bridges Horizon Enterprises Inc., which specialized in bringing the latest marketing and communication technologies, including web and social media, to organizations of all sizes.

Lianne is a Social Entrepreneur whose work and passion have always revolved around social transformation. Her most rewarding work was spent in the developing world for Plan Canada (a child-centred NGO) to produce documentaries on Poverty, Children of War and Child Labourers. She was the Executive Producer of: Children in a Hidden World and Children of a Silent War.

She considers herself a ” Late Boomer” – born at the end of the Baby Boom generation. This has provided Lianne with a unique perspective on transformation, as she has lived her life trailing behind the most influential generation of all times. She believes that much of the dramatic, global shift we are experiencing today is the result of this generation leaving its “prime consumption stage of life”  and entering its more “mature, reflective years”.

Her most important transformatin role is that of a mother of two young boys, particularly when it comes to exploring new education and partenting solutions for children with special gifts and special needs.

Lianne is currently going through the most challenging personal transformation experience of her life as she struggles to put the pieces of her life back together after the loss of her husband and soulmate, who heroically battled cancer (mesothelioma) for two years. The fact that this cancer is closely linked to the environmental toxin, asbestos, makes Lianne all the more committed to ensuring a greener and more sustainable environment for her children to grow up in.

We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be? Your playing small does not serve the world.” — Marianne Williamson
