Where two or more gather…let them do so with consciousness Version Français I have spent over 25 years working and consulting for all types of organizations – big, small, public, private, for profit and not. One thing I have found to be consistent is a general malaise in these organizations. The unbridled pursuit of profit at any cost has left them with products that are commoditized, employees at the brink of exhaustion and environments and communities close to depletion. Why is this happening? To understand, I removed myself totally from corporate life and gained a new perspective. I left my consulting practice and immersed myself into the mindfulness community. Wisdom meets modern technology with a WOW!

I was extremely fortunate to have attended the Wisdom 2.0 Conference in Silicon Valley last weekend. It is the first of its kind, bringing together leaders in new media and technology, like Twitter, Google and Facebook, with spiritual and social consciousness leaders. I first heard about the conference about a month ago from a friend.

Pink has created a body of inspiring and thought-provoking work in his book A Whole New Mind. This is a book that Oprah gave to 4500 graduating students from Stanford last year, because it offers a whole new perspective on the skills and apptitudes that will be required for the next generation of leaders.  In his book, he argues that a “Whole New Mind” is required to thrive in the future, one that is more holistic, balancing both the attributes of left and right brain thinking. The Dalai Lama is Following my Tweets!

"The Dali Lama is now following your tweets on Twitter." Less than a year ago I wouldn't have even understood the meaning of this phrase. The word "Twitter", let alone the concept of Tweets from the Dalai Lama were not in my lexicon a short year ago. Everyone talks about the power of the Internet and new social media. Receiving this message in my morning inbox is one of the most wonderful examples of this I have experienced to date !
